This is something I don't think I've had a chance to share with you, but it has always been in my thoughts when I get to places where smiles are not forced and when people walk in, they are engaged with the palatable pleasures that once stimulated them as children. When I go to a mall (within whatever city I happened to be visiting), you smell the aromas, sweet aromas that hook you by the two sensory cavities sitting atop our faces. Those cavities have a very intricate way of communicating to the brain the possibilities of making our smiles increase once we've located the origin with where these arresting aromas reside.
Not only does communication of the sensory cavities on the face communicate "smile definite" possibilities, they distinctively have a way of recognizing the types of aromas that are new or previously experienced somewhere in the journey of our life. As I walk up to the counter of some of these well-sniffed out shops carrying warmly-baked delicacies of deliciousness, I personally and deliberately watch the faces of those (young and old) who wait with baited-breath to utter inquiries of multiple questions to the attendant behind the counter..."what is this?"...or "what's this called?"...or "can I taste a sample of this?" ...or "wow, this looks so good" ...or "this smells heavenly!" There is a look of intrigue and interest that surfaces like you've never known before. You'll never see reactions quite as distinct in any other places that are void of those types of sweetly-baked aromas. The looks are unmistakable, and the smiles last from the moment of first-observation, until long after the time of selection and completed transaction. I personally get joy just seeing faces light up, smiles on the old and young, the well-dressed and the not so well dressed, every ethnicity, every size and shape, because the aromas of sweet-baked goodness are no respecter of persons.
The smells are deliberate, the displays are deliberate and the qualities speak loudly as if to say "I was specially baked, just for you!" How covert, how underhanded, how so blatantly unfair. To almost take hostage our two most open and sensory cavities in broad daylight! Unbelievable, but true. Captivated by the moment.
Take a moment and go down to your local mall, get into the flow of traffic inside, let your facial sensory cavities run their search...let them tell you what's up ahead. Will what's up ahead make you smile by sensory cavity notification? I've never-ever seen any attendant working at one of these places that did not smile when you walked up to the counter smiling first...it's a given. Yes -it's the smiles that get you noticed, not the baked goods, Ever notice?

Sincerity ... a trait that is truly appealing.
