It's so easy to allow distractions to pull you into the undertow of life, that we lose focus on purpose. But its so nice to understand in wisdom the rewards of remaining focused, losing track of the distractions. I guess all I can really say in accordance to how I'm feeling today that, today I needed to find a place of solice. I found a temporary place, which is at my favorite library in the metroplex (you might have heard me mention it in a another earlier post, I forget which one). I'm here now, listening to KDKR radio, being encouraged and uplifted in my spirit. I know I can't stay here all day, but I knew it would be one of the only places I could clearly think about the hours, days ahead of me. I reached out to a source to counsel with on next week, to verbalize what I've been through this past week. Last week has been like much of the what I experienced over two years ago with a complete communication breakdown between someone that was near and dear, yet I knew the path of what I had experienced was not going to keep me down in spirit. I had lost my identity and authority, but over the last two years the strength and re-focus I've gained has only been by the grace of God. I am thankful. Out of the midst of that two years songs were birth in my spirit to write. I've copyrighted them and am now moving toward the part of recording them. That's the next phase or step (if you would). I had to make hard choices two years ago, but it was beneficial for health reasons, and emotional grounding. You should never allow someone else (humanly) to control you with their emotions, that's a detrimental place and it has long terms effects. Never again will that happen to me. You can't control who people are around you, but you can control who you are as a person and understand that with God's guidance you can and will make it.
I am saddened at some of the things I've had to endure with relationships, but I've learned how and whom to allow into my world of simplicity. Life is not complex, but the complexity of others and how they conduct their lives can adversely affect you negatively if their underlying motivation is to indirectly control you. Don't get me wrong, we are all mastered by someone else because their experience does positively lend itself to educating you or bringing you into the awareness of things you may not have known. But never should you allow their complexities to dominate your emotions, because emotions are like roller coasters. Reliance on God is key. Trust is tied with reliance and within trust resides provision and care. True we have the ability and choice to conduct our lives in the best and most wholesome manner that we have knowledge to conduct, but ultimately there is greater peace and comfort knowing that you can pray, look up, communicate and share your heart with someone who always hears -always cares -always understands and has the best safe guard for your life. God. Get to know him. Not A GOD, but THE only true and living God. God the Father, creator, yep....HIM!
