Ever had a desire to visit a few places over your lifetime? Well, ...I forgot to mention some of the travel desires that I've had in mind for a while. I not sure I'll ever get to go to there places and events, but it's just something I thought about while relaxing for the evening. Maybe this means nothing to you, but I'm not afraid to share my thoughts with you. I've always thought it would be cool to attend "Wimbledon" or Maybe the "U.S. Open" or the "Australian Open" and watch some of the great tennis pro's whack it out for championships; I'd love to travel to "Australia," I keep making an itinerary through expedia.com each year to visit in the month of December which turns out to be their summer months. Maybe I can stay for a week or two and enjoy, visit some great places there and share some of my songs; I'd love to travel to "Hawaii," I've heard so much about it and seen some wonderful photos of it, a weeks stay would be ideal; I'd love to attend the next "Olympics" and stay for two weeks, I love track field and I would be stoked being up close to see the great games go forth; I'd love to travel to see the great "Pyramids of Eygpt," this has always been a special fascination of mine since I was a young boy; I would enjoy fishing one weekend by the great lakes of Montana, seeing the beautiful streams and rivers there; I would love to visit "Carnegie Hall," pull out one of the huge 9' Grand Pianos, sit down and play some of my songs to an empty dimly lit audience, I'd love to take a picture there; I'd like to go back to see the great "memorials in Washington, D.C.," I haven't been there since I was a little boy; I'd love to go back to Canada again, visit the birth place of the great "Oscar Peterson" and visit the history of some of the great provinces; I'd enjoy a short visit to France, to see the Eiffel Tower, take photos and visit some of the historic buildings; I'd like to go back to visit "Mt. Rushmore" in South Dakota to see "Crazy Horse." When I went as a boy, the exhibit was not open to the public; I would love to travel to Japan, I've heard so much about it, I would love to play and record one of my songs with some of the great Japanese jazz musicians there, I feel it would be an awesome experience, I feel people would come from everywhere to hear at least a couple of my songs; ...can't think of much more right now, but yeah....these are a few of the places I don't possess the funds to travel to, and have a desire to travel while I'm yet young and agile. Maybe one day I'll acquire the funds to do so, it should be a lot of fun! I'll make sure to share the aftermath of my experiences with you who continue to follow my blog, and pass the blessings on to someone else by rewarding them with the funds to travel their dreams, just as I've posted a few of mine here.

To be able to dream is beautiful. I hv dreamed of going to the mountains in Nepal, to walk on the streets in India, to preach in a house church in China, to ride on the bumpy road in Kalimantan into the interior of Indonesia... I hv done it all... there are more to go but keep dreaming and praying... you will be there one day :-) Lynda
ReplyDeleteI would love to go to Australia and I dream of going on an African Safari.
ReplyDeleteI have been fortunate to have done a bit of traveling. My favorite vacations have been two Wayfarer walks. The England coast to coast and the Ring of Kerry in Ireland. To be able to walk the land and meet the local people was just fabulous.
