Yeah, you've probably heard this one before right? So what's there to be scared of? I'm not talking about because of a threat or someone's ignorance, I'm really talking about you. Yes that's right, YOU! Why are you scared of you? What have you done, what didn't you do, what should you have done, should you have done anything at all? YOU can really limit yourself from being scared of you, each one of us at some point, at some time have been there...yeah - scared. Do others scare you, what's the first thing you think of when you think you're in the zone or behind a transparent wall? Others can see you, but in your mind you think they can until you accept that they can't... so stay transparent - at least they can see through you. Oh no, not that. You mean others can see you? Sure if you're scared. So what happens you ask when people can see through you? Well, think about it...now are you scared? Ah, think you've got it huh? You do, you just don't think you do, but you really do. So my young trailblazer, smile, breathe and take a dare (with sense of course). :)
I think so many people miss out on things in life just because they are afraid to try. If you try and fail at something so what at least you gave it a try. :-)
ReplyDeleteInteresting blog you have here. Makes you stop and think.
Giving yourself permission to fail - will allow you to take the faithfilled risks that God has ordained. I recommend reading the book:
ReplyDeleteIn a Pit With A Lion on a Snowy Day - by Mark Batterson. I gave away 5 copies in March. I was very impressed by the book because I am in the midst of being a lion chaser myself - taking those risks to follow what God has put in front of me. Your title with the LION on top reminded me of the book. It is filled with TRUTH from God's Word and many examples of people who took those risks and beat the odds. Fears? We actually learn them - so we can UNlearn them when we set our minds and hearts in that direction.
Choosing JOY,
Stephanie

I have gone throught that phase in life. Its probably part of the "age" thing. As I "grew up" (LOL a little bit more), I learned to be "honest to myself". The result; you basically can read me like a book. Today, I am most comfortable being me.
